The North Irish Sea Array (NISA) export transmission system—comprising two 220 kV offshore export cables from the offshore substation platform to landfall north of Balbriggan, onshore export cables, a new grid facility near the R132, and final connection at Belcamp 220 kV substation—is planned to be fully operational around 2030, delivering power from the wind farm into Ireland’s electricity grid in support of national climate targets and consistent with its ORESS contractual requirement to be fully operational by end‑2031.
