Onshore Construction Start

DELAYED +2yr (Apr 2026): Projected onshore construction start in early 2026 is no longer realistic: project is still pre-consent (Secretary of State decision due 14 May 2026) and the developer now states that, if the DCO is granted, phased construction will begin with pre-construction works expected to take place from 2027. --- North Falls Offshore Wind Farm, developed by SSE Renewables and RWE, plans to begin a six‑week phased construction period in early 2026, marking the start of project construction including the transmission infrastructure such as onshore export cables and the onshore substation, subject to the outcome of the DCO process.
