Haizea Wind Group has been selected by RWE in advanced discussions to manufacture a portion of the XXL monopile foundations for Norfolk Vanguard West, taking over from SeAH Wind whose Teesside scope was reduced under the April 2026 mutual scope-adjustment agreement between SeAH and RWE. Production is reported by industry journal reNEWS (cited via secondary trade press, North East Bylines 27 April 2026) to take place at Haizea's facilities in Bilbao, Spain. The arrangement is intended to support a tighter delivery programme aligned to RWE's targeted summer-2026 final investment decision for Norfolk Vanguard West and 2029 commercial operations. Quantity split between Haizea and Steelwind Nordenham (the other replacement monopile fabricator) and formal contract dates have not yet been disclosed by RWE, Haizea or Steelwind. The Vanguard West design comprises 92 monopile-supported turbine positions in total. Haizea has prior offshore-wind monopile credentials including East Anglia 3 (50 monopiles, ScottishPower) and Hornsea 3 (XXL monopiles, Ørsted).
