Vattenfall signed an inter-array cable supply agreement with Hellenic Cables for the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone — covering Norfolk Vanguard East alongside Vanguard West and Boreas. Hellenic's scope is to design, manufacture, test and supply approximately 850 km of 66 kV XLPE-insulated subsea inter-array cables with aluminium conductor and associated accessories, produced at the Corinth submarine cables plant in Greece, with deliveries scheduled across 2025-2028. The contract complements the separate HVDC export cable consortium (DEME Offshore + LS Cable & System) and the offshore HVDC platform EPCI awarded to Aker Solutions. Contract transferred to RWE following the March 2024 stake_transaction acquiring the Norfolk cluster.
