RWE awarded N-Sea a contract to perform geophysical and geotechnical surveys for the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone, comprising Norfolk Boreas, Norfolk Vanguard East and Norfolk Vanguard West. N-Sea’s scope included UXO survey using multibeam and sub-bottom profiler along the export cable route and inter-array cable corridors; 2DUHRS seismic and sub-bottom profiling surveys; geotechnical investigations (CPT and vibrocore) along cable routes with associated laboratory testing; WROV-based depth-of-burial survey of existing cables; environmental survey including drop-down video transects; and debris survey and removal, plus reporting and data processing.
