Fugro

Fugro was awarded a marine site investigation contract by Vattenfall for the Norfolk Boreas offshore wind farm. Fugro’s work scope covered full-coverage geophysical and geotechnical surveys across the wind farm site, inter-array cable corridors and export cable routes, including UXO surveys and a 2D ultra high-resolution seismic (UHRS) survey. Fugro also provided seabed cone penetration testing (CPT) and sampling along the cable route using its SEACALF® Mk V DeepDrive® and Blue Snake™ systems, followed by an onshore laboratory testing programme. The resulting geo-data was intended to support ground model development and to optimise foundation and cable design and routing for the Norfolk projects.
