On 10 October 2022, Vattenfall signed a contract with Siemens and Aker Solutions to deliver the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) grid connection infrastructure for the Norfolk Boreas Offshore Wind Farm, covering engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the onshore and offshore HVDC substations and the connection to the National Grid.
