As part of Energinet’s preliminary investigations for the North Sea I offshore wind areas, burial assessment and cable burial risk assessment studies for export cable landfall corridors at Nymindegab North, Nymindegab South, and Vedersø Klit were completed and published by 12 February 2025, providing engineering input on export cable burial conditions for the planned grid connections including Nordsøen I Midt.
As part of the North Sea I offshore wind development, which includes the Nordsøen I Midt area and its export cable corridors, the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) published the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) environmental report for the overall North Sea I plan, making the environmental statement publicly available and effectively opening the plan-level consultation that underpins projects such as the Nordsøen Midt export grid connection.
According to the Danish Energy Agency’s change log, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the concessionaire’s 1 GW land-based project for North Sea I Midt, running to the Point of Connection (POC) at Endrup, had been submitted and made public by February 2025; this EIA covers land-based grid connection works associated with the Nordsøen Midt export cable route from the coast to Endrup.

By 12 February 2025, the Danish Energy Agency’s change log for the North Sea I preliminary investigations recorded the item "Export cables, cable route survey report" as published, indicating that Energinet had completed and reported the export cable route surveys for the North Sea I areas, including the Nordsøen I Midt grid connection between the offshore wind farm area and the Jutland coast.
As of the 12 February 2025 update to the Danish Energy Agency’s North Sea I change log, several reports under "Export cables, Geotechnical Site Investigations"—covering landfall site investigations and landfall-to-substation site investigations at Nymindegab South (A1), Nymindegab North (A2) and Vedersø Klit (A3)—were listed as published, confirming completion and documentation of geotechnical investigations for potential landfall points and onshore routes of the North Sea I export cables serving areas including Nordsøen I Midt.
