On 27 March 2026, Germany’s Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) granted planning permission (Plangenehmigung/Planfeststellungsbeschluss) for RWE’s 900 MW Nordseecluster B offshore wind farm, covering the NC 3 (N-3.5, 420 MW) and NC 4 (N-3.6, 480 MW) sites north of the East Frisian islands. This permit authorises construction of 60 Vestas V236-15.0 MW turbines on monopile foundations and clears the way for RWE and partner Norges Bank Investment Management to start offshore works from 2027, targeting commercial operation in early 2029.
