Description
DeepOcean received a firm order from RWE for the Nordseecluster A offshore wind project in Germany to perform trenching, transport and installation of all 66 kV inter-array cables connecting the project’s 44 wind turbines. The scope included preparatory works (pre-installation cable route survey, route engineering and burial assessment), boulder relocation and other offshore preparation activities, followed by cable lay and burial, topside pull-ins and terminations, monitoring and testing, plus seabed surveys and monitoring. Offshore preparations and pre-installation surveys were scheduled to start in Q2 2025, with the main offshore works starting in early 2026.
