The German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) issued planning approvals for the first phase of RWE’s Nordseecluster offshore wind development, Nordseecluster A (660 MW), located about 50 kilometres north of Juist. This consent authorises construction and operation of the phase, enabling RWE and its contractors to proceed with offshore works so that all 44 turbines can be connected to the grid by early 2027.
