By 7 November 2025, RWE had installed the monopile foundation for one of the two offshore substations at the Nordseecluster A offshore wind farm. The project is located around 50 kilometres north of the German island of Juist. In the same construction campaign that completed all 44 monopile foundations for the turbines and their secondary steel structures, the company also laid this substation monopile at the offshore construction site. RWE notes that the second substation foundation, a jacket structure, is still to follow later in 2025, with topside installations planned subsequently.
