On 7 November 2025, RWE reported that preparatory soil investigations were underway for Nordseecluster A, indicating the start of geotechnical ground investigation activities ahead of cable installation. The works are being carried out at the Nordseecluster site, located around 50 kilometres north of the German island of Juist, to prepare for laying approximately 70 kilometres of internal cabling for the wind farm. These soil investigations will inform detailed design and routing of the inter-array cables that will connect the 44 turbine foundations within the 660 MW Nordseecluster A phase. RWE stated that the internal cables are planned to be laid at the beginning of the following year, confirming that the geotechnical survey campaign has commenced as part of the project’s ongoing construction phase.
