On 3 July 2024, ocean services provider DeepOcean announced it had received a firm order from RWE for Nordseecluster A, covering trenching, transport and installation of all inter-array cables for the 44 turbines. The scope includes about 185 km of 66 kV aluminium and copper cables, pre‑installation route surveys, boulder relocation, foundation and offshore substation preparatory works, burial, pull‑ins, terminations, testing and seabed monitoring, with offshore execution starting in 2025–2026 using three vessels.
