In 2017, Nordsee One GmbH reached a major construction milestone at the 332 MW Nordsee One offshore wind farm when the first wind turbine was successfully installed in the German North Sea. This marked the start of the turbine installation campaign for the project’s 54 turbines. The successful installation of this first unit enabled the project to achieve first power in the same year, demonstrating that the electrical infrastructure and initial turbine systems were functioning as intended and progressing the wind farm towards full commercial operation.
