Major Maintenance

In 2022, Nordsee One GmbH executed a major maintenance campaign on the Nordsee One offshore wind farm to address a serial defect previously identified in the rotor bearings. Following the October 2020 identification of the defect and planning of a preventive replacement campaign, and the replacement of 10 rotor shaft assemblies in 2021, the project undertook and completed the replacement of all remaining 44 rotor shaft assemblies during the 2022 season. This large-scale, preventive component replacement campaign was completed within a single season and is highlighted by the company as a significant achievement in maintaining the long-term reliability and safe operation of the wind farm’s turbines.
