By 18 April 2016, Ambau had been confirmed as the foundation supplier for the Nordsee One offshore wind farm, having manufactured all 54 monopile foundations and associated transition pieces for the 332 MW project in the German North Sea. The foundations, up to 70 metres tall and weighing around 900 tonnes each, were installed at the site located about 40 km north of Juist. Installation was executed by DEME Group company GeoSea using its jack‑up vessel Innovation.
