Nordsee One reached full commercial operation in mid-December 2017. In a 19 December 2017 announcement, Nordsee One GmbH reported that the 332 MW offshore wind farm, located about 40 km north of the island of Juist, had achieved full completion the previous day. The project was declared fully commissioned on schedule and below its total budget of €1.2 billion, marking the official end of construction and the start of the operational phase. All 54 Senvion 6.2M126 turbines had been exporting power to the grid since September 2017, and the project had satisfied all conditions required by its lenders for term conversion. The wind farm, owned by Northland Power Inc. (85%) and innogy SE (15%) at the time of completion, is expected to produce more than 1,300 GWh of green electricity annually, supplying roughly 400,000 German households.
