Description
G.E.O.S. provided project management and construction supervision for the German onshore DC cable section of the NordLink interconnector on behalf of TenneT Offshore GmbH. The company supported the planning approval process and then oversaw construction of the approximately 54 km underground cable route from the landfall near the Neuenkoog/Büsum dyke to the Wilster converter station. Its services included management and supervision of the cable‑laying works through specialist site managers, coordination of construction roads and access improvements, health, safety and environmental coordination, monitoring from a nature conservation and soil science perspective, surveying support, and documentation and assessment of land damage during installation.
