During NordLink’s development, TenneT engaged DNV’s Energy Advisory services to assess potential suppliers’ capabilities to manage protection and control software development for the interconnector’s control system, using a protocol based on international standards so the consortium with Statnett and KfW could compare suppliers, understand software process risks, and factor these into its overall supplier selection decisions.
