On 3 December 2025, the German Federal Network Agency’s Decision Chamber 6 (Bundesnetzagentur, BK6) issued decision BK6-25-438 granting Nordlicht Offshore Wind GmbH, developer of the N-6.6 (Nordlicht II) area, an extension of the statutory deadline under § 81(2) No. 2 WindSeeG to provide proof of financing for the offshore wind farm. The regulator found the company was prevented without its own fault from meeting the original deadline, mainly due to timing of the BSH planning approval, and extended the realisation deadline until 26 February 2026 while confirming that the developer remains willing and technically and financially able to complete Nordlicht II.
