In the first quarter of 2012, ABB received a significant order from transmission system operator TenneT to supply the AC power transmission link for the Nordergründe offshore wind project, including design, engineering, supply and installation of the 155 kV land and submarine cable system, onshore and offshore shunt reactors, a 155/220 kV onshore power transformer, and the extension of an existing 220 kV substation forming the grid connection point on the German mainland.
