By 23 April 2015, grid operator TenneT had contracted Bitek Bergungsdienst to carry out unexploded ordnance (UXO) clearance along the 28 km cable route for the Nordergründe offshore grid connection in the Weser estuary, preparing the export cable corridor for subsequent installation.
