Onshore construction for the Nordergründe offshore grid connection began in autumn 2012 with the start of laying works for the 4km onshore section of the 155kV export cable linking the wind farm’s landfall to the Inhausen substation. The onshore substation was subsequently expanded in 2013 to accommodate the new 155/220kV connection into the 220kV transmission network.
