The Nordergründe offshore wind farm grid connection reached full commercial operation in December 2017. NKT delivered the turnkey 155 kV AC cable system comprising 26.5 km of submarine cable and 4 km of underground cable connecting the 111 MW wind farm to TenneT's Inhausen 220 kV substation near Wilhelmshaven. The grid connection was completed after NKT made the final connection of the submarine cable system following completion of the offshore platform in September 2017.
