Norddeutsche Seekabelwerke (NSW), a subsidiary of General Cable, was selected in July 2015 as the supplier and installer of the subsea medium‑voltage cables for the Nordergründe offshore wind farm. Under the contract, NSW delivered and installed the inter‑array cable system linking the 18 turbines to the offshore transformer platform. Wpd and later communications on the project emphasise NSW as one of the regional manufacturers from north‑west Germany providing internal wind farm cabling for the 111 MW nearshore project.
