DELAYED +2yr (Apr 2026): Our original projection assumed first power from shore to the Draugen and Njord fields in Q1 2027, consistent with earlier project communications. However, OKEA’s 2025 Annual Statement of Reserves (section 3.3.1 on Draugen) explicitly states that the Draugen–Njord electrification project, which provides power from shore to both platforms, now has an "expected start up for PfS on Draugen" in 2028, and this is reflected in OKEA’s RNB2026 submission. Equinor’s 2026 electrification overview also confirms the project as approved and in execution but does not contradict this 2028 timing. Given this clear one‑year+ slip versus the earlier Q1 2027 target, and recognising that delays on offshore electrification projects tend to push first-power dates rather than pull them forward, the first-power milestone is delayed to 2028 with year-level precision. --- Equinor Energy AS and OKEA ASA plan to start up electric power-from-shore operations for the Draugen and Njord fields in the Norwegian Sea in the first quarter of 2027. As part of this electrification project, OKEA will develop the power infrastructure from shore to Draugen, while Equinor will install the cable from Draugen to the Njord A platform and carry out the necessary modifications, enabling around 60% of Njord A’s power demand and all of the Njord Bravo FSO’s power needs to be met by electricity from the onshore grid via a connection at the Straum transformer station in Åfjord municipality, with total field demand of up to 80 MW and expected CO₂ emissions reductions of 330,000 tonnes per year.
