On 27 April 2024, the Harbour Master’s Office of Porto Empedocle published in the Gazzetta Ufficiale a notice opening a 30‑day period for observations and objections on the modified route and new landfall at San Leone (Agrigento) of the submarine cable serving the offshore wind farm Mazara del Vallo 2. The notice, issued on request of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, concerns Ninfea Rinnovabili’s application for a 30‑year maritime state concession for the revised export cable layout in the Strait of Sicily.
