On 15 February 2023, the Harbour Master’s Office of Mazara del Vallo published a notice on its official board inviting the public to submit observations or objections within 30 days regarding the proposed maritime state concession for the submarine cable landfall at Mazara del Vallo that would connect the offshore wind farm Mazara del Vallo 2 to the onshore Partanna substation. This publication formed part of the authorisation process for the cable works serving Ninfea Rinnovabili’s floating offshore wind project in the Strait of Sicily.
