On 31 December 2023, Ninfea Rinnovabili sent integrated and updated documentation, including a revised D1 application form, to the harbour master’s office to modify the route and landfall point of the Mazara del Vallo 2 submarine export cable, following grid connection discussions with Terna that made the original Partanna substation connection unfeasible. The update reflected a new onshore connection location and supported continuation of the maritime concession process for the project’s cable.
