On 12 September 2025, the transmission system operators Amprion GmbH, TenneT TSO GmbH and 50Hertz Transmission GmbH launched a formal call for expressions of interest from a strong and experienced UK partner to join the NeuLink UK–Germany offshore hybrid interconnector project. Interested UK partners are asked to submit formal applications outlining their ambitions and capabilities to implement and manage NeuLink, with submissions due by 03 October 2025, marking the start of a structured partner selection process ahead of later procurement and delivery phases.
On 12 September 2025, the transmission system operators Amprion GmbH, TenneT TSO GmbH and 50Hertz Transmission GmbH were presented as jointly collaborating on the NeuLink project, co-developing a planned 3–4 terminal HVDC hybrid interconnector between Germany and the United Kingdom and acting together as project promoters while seeking to add a UK partner.
