NeuConnect’s overall cable installation programme, involving 525 kV HVDC cables across UK, Dutch and German waters and associated land sections, is planned to continue through 2026 and 2027, with completion of cable laying expected by 2027. Subsequent phases following the initial 56 km installed in 2024 and the 140 km campaign starting in mid-2025 will extend cabling along the full 725 km route between the Isle of Grain and Wilhelmshaven.
