Wessex Archaeology

Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Nemo Link to undertake specialist marine archaeological consultancy for the UK element of the marine cable route. The work comprised assessment of geophysical survey data to identify archaeological anomalies, ROV inspection of identified anomalies and recovery and conservation of artefacts (including an 18th century cannon recovered from Pegwell Bay). Findings informed routeing and mitigation measures prior to cable installation.
