Description
In late 2020 NKT was awarded a five-year service agreement by Nemo Link Ltd. to support the Nemo Link HVDC interconnector’s offshore cable system. Under the contract NKT provides cable repair preparedness and all cable repair logistics, including inspection and maintenance of spare parts, engineering support, offshore cable handling and jointing, and access to suitable vessels and equipment with a mobilisation guarantee. The agreement covers the 400 kV HVDC submarine cable connection between Belgium and the UK and is intended to minimise downtime by enabling rapid response and execution of offshore cable repairs during the operational life of the interconnector.
