Scottish Government Ministers, through Marine Scotland, granted consent for the offshore elements of the Neart na Gaoithe offshore wind farm’s original application in October 2014, following an application submitted in July 2012. This offshore planning consent authorised the project’s offshore components to proceed, based on the supporting Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Statement.
