In 2009, Mainstream Renewable Power commenced an extensive campaign of offshore environmental surveys at the Neart na Gaoithe site, covering seabed habitats, marine mammals and seabirds, shipping and commercial fishing activity, and seabed archaeology to inform the project’s Environmental Impact Assessment for the offshore wind farm and associated infrastructure.
