In 2018, Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Limited placed the High Voltage Stations contract with Prysmian, appointing the company to design, fabricate, supply and pre‑commission the Neart na Gaoithe transmission substations, including the two 220/66 kV offshore substations and the 220/400 kV onshore substation at Crystal Rig, as well as the associated electrical system design and SCADA. This contract confirmed Prysmian as the main substation supplier for the Neart na Gaoithe OFTO transmission assets.
