Onshore export cable installation for the Neart na Gaoithe transmission system began in October 2021, starting construction of the approximately 13 km of onshore 220 kV export cables from the Thorntonloch landfall to the new 220/400 kV NnG onshore substation at Crystal Rig, which will be part of the Neart na Gaoithe OFTO assets.
