Narbonnaise Project: three 225 kV HVAC three-core export cables (XLPE, synthetic armour), EPCI covering submarine and land parts including landfall works; installation using Prysmian proprietary cable-laying vessel; ~340 km of cables (land + submarine).
Prysmian signed a framework agreement with RTE for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCI) of the power cable links connecting the Narbonnaise offshore wind farm connection project (Occitanie coast) to the French transmission grid, covering both the submarine and land parts including landfall works. For the Narbonnaise project, Prysmian described three 225 kV HVAC three-core export cable links (XLPE insulated, synthetic armoured) and stated the project required approximately 340 km of cables (subsea and land combined). Installation was to be performed using one of Prysmian’s proprietary cable-laying vessels, with contract call-off and final EPCI terms expected in 2026–2027 and delivery/commissioning expected in 2031–2032.
