On 7 December 2023, the French State and RTE announced further public meetings on floating wind farms in the Mediterranean, following the government’s announcement of the locations of the tender zones for two approximately 250 MW projects and their extensions. These consultations included discussion of the Narbonnaise Sud-Hérault area, where the AO6 Narbonnaise 1 project and the AO9 Narbonnaise 2 extension will share a common grid connection.
