On 22 January 2025, the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) completed the central pre‑investigation and suitability assessment for offshore wind areas N-10.1 and N-10.2 in the German North Sea and formally determined their suitability for auction by the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) via the Fifth Ordinance implementing the Windenergie-auf-See-Gesetz (5. WindSeeV), later published in the Federal Law Gazette on 28 January 2025. The associated suitability examination, environmental report, and a supplementary summary explanation for N-10.2 were made available for public inspection in BSH libraries and online, providing developers with detailed site condition and environmental information as the technical basis for subsequent tenders.
