On 30 January 2026, following a Federal Cabinet decision to suspend 2026 offshore wind tenders, BSH amended the 2025 Area Development Plan so that auctions for several offshore wind sites, including the centrally pre-surveyed N‑10.2 area in the German North Sea, are postponed from 2026 and scheduled for the 2027 auction year, with BNetzA suspending the 2026 tenders accordingly.
