Following the failed 2025 auction for sites N-10.1 and N-10.2 and an initial plan to re‑auction them in 2026, the German Federal Cabinet on 28 January 2026 approved an amendment to suspend all offshore wind tenders in 2026, after which BSH amended the 2025 Area Development Plan on 30 January 2026. As a result, BSH and BNetzA rescheduled the auctions for centrally pre‑investigated areas including N-10.2 to the auction year 2027, with the exact tender date to be set later in the area development plan, while authorities stated that the postponement would not affect Germany’s long‑term offshore wind expansion targets.
