EGS Survey was contracted by Fred. Olsen Seawind and Vattenfall to carry out a preliminary offshore survey campaign for the Muir Mhòr floating offshore wind project site. The scope included geophysical and environmental surveys for site characterisation across the proposed wind farm area (c.200 km²) and an offshore export cable corridor area (c.100 km²) once the landfall point was identified. The survey campaign was mobilised in April 2023 using the vessel EGS Ventus and was completed in early August 2023, providing seabed and subsea environmental data to support future design and engineering works and the EIA process.
