As part of the Moyle Returns Cable Project to restore the interconnector to full capacity, bathymetric, seismic and ROV geophysical surveys of the seabed were carried out along the planned route between the existing north and south cables, and the results were used to select an optimised route for burial and protection of the two new low‑voltage return conductor cables installed in 2015.
