Morven Offshore Wind Limited held its first non-statutory public consultation from 9 July to 3 September 2024 on the onshore and offshore infrastructure in England for the Morven – Hawthorn Pit Grid Connection. The consultation introduced early plans for subsurface offshore and buried onshore electricity cables and a new land substation near Seaham, inviting feedback from local communities and stakeholders to inform refinement of the proposals ahead of a future Development Consent Order application.
