According to the Morven Hawthorn Pit Grid Connection Project programme document, Morven Offshore Wind Limited intends to submit a Development Consent Order (DCO) application for the Morven Hawthorn Pit Grid Connection to the Planning Inspectorate in the third quarter of 2026. The DCO will seek development consent under the Planning Act 2008 for the offshore and onshore transmission assets in England that will connect the Morven Offshore Wind Farm to the existing National Grid substation at Hawthorn Pit.
