The Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) secured a major contract from the bp and EnBW joint venture to provide geoscience and geotechnical engineering services for the Morven offshore wind farm, alongside the Morgan and Mona projects. NGI, supported by partners including GEO, SAND Geophysics and the British Geological Survey, will deliver integrated ground models, survey planning and supervision, and extensive advanced laboratory testing to inform Morven’s foundation design and reduce geotechnical uncertainties.
