Kent was awarded a contract by bp and EnBW to provide Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), with an option to extend into detailed design, for the wind turbine generator (WTG) foundations for the Morgan and Mona offshore wind farms in the Irish Sea. Kent’s scope covered engineering design work to inform foundation selection, demonstrate feasibility, and provide a robust foundation design to manage project risk and support engagement with fabrication and transport-and-installation contractors. Kent stated it was designing jacket foundations for 17–24 MW class turbines in approximately 35 m water depth.
