On 14 June 2019, the Scottish Ministers granted consent for the Moray West Offshore Wind Farm and associated Offshore Transmission Infrastructure under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 and relevant marine legislation, as set out in the decision notice for the construction and operation of the project approximately 22.5 km southeast from the Caithness coastline.
